Emulgatori
Emulgatori se koriste u kremama i losionima za mešanje vodene i uljane faze. Kako se voda i ulje ne mešaju već ostaju razdvojeni, neophodna je dodatna komponenta (emulgator) u cilju formiranja homogene smese i sprečavanja njihovog razdvajanja. Postoje dva tipa emulgatora. Ulje u vodi (U/V), emulgatori koji drže kapljice ulja u vodenoj fazi i voda u ulju (V/U) emulgatori koji drže kapljice vode u uljanoj fazi. V/U emulgatori se upotrebljavaju kada želite da postignete osećaj zamašćene kože (npr. noćne kreme, kreme za zaštitu od sunca). U/V emulgatori se više koriste kod proizvoda za hidrataciju kože, odnosno ovlaživača (npr. losioni za telo, dnevne kreme).
